2008 - THE 100% SURE SEASON PLAYERS FOR 2008

The 2008 Season will have a tighter group of players. We will be looking for a group of 17-18 reg. players for 2008. With a few loose spots for the few that can come on odd weeks or special days.

What are the exact conditions for the new season?

Not that much new really.....The main change is the $100.00 "buy in" for the 50 week season, that goes right into the 2008 final table + the tens and twenties we pick up during the reg. season.

The goal is to play for $2000-$2500 next year's final table. The way i thought it could be cool is committed players have 3 months to win a Tuesday event, in those 3 months, their first win will automatically pays their season entry, no need to spit it out right after the x-mas holidays when most of us are broke. Now if a season player DOES NOT win during those first 3 months, 2 options are available...1. pay up the $100.00 like some will have already done anyway. 2. or pay the non-member price for the rest of the year ($15.00) each Tuesday, in this case you'll pay almost twice the $100.00 you could of paid upfront.

So being a reg.season player will get you:

Non Members will have a $15.00 fee, the extra $5.00 goes towards the 2008 final table. Non member might not/ probably wont have a reserved seat to play on Tuesdays either, as a [u]20 players max[/u] will be set for the 2008 season also.

Oh and before I forget Mr.Admin, Sherbrookepoker.com will pay your $100.00 entry fee as a ongoing thanks for the great work you have been doing to update, maintaining, and keeping our site looking fantastic too.

yeah...I'm in, just cant promiss if its an 100% thing or not...

Another rule I think we should have for next years season....NO RULE CHANGE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON!!! Everything aside, no one can say that the changes did not have any kind of effect on some people. The top players before the change have dropped and gone through some quite weeks while those trailing have picked up all of a sudden and all centered around the change...coincidence?? Up to ALL of you to decide.

We changed the rules so we can be the exact poker rules....

I think it was great to do it that way but ok for next year we wont change nothing.

So next year...... only tight player will be in top 10 hehehehehehehehehehehehe

ok...When i was in school, a rule was a form of principle or regulation governing (a)conduct or game or actions.

I don't see any rules that was changed this year...

The change that i know of was playing with 500 worth of more chips...not a rule in my book,but lets make believe it is for now.

1. who would of known 500 more chips would benefit certain players.
2. benefit both tight AND loose players ? (bil,chrono..2 different worlds IMO)
3. any of the new "hot" players ever win last year ? ..oh yeah..the 2006 overall champ won with the 500 system last year.

PLUS..lets keep in mind WHO REALLY added the 500 to the reg. stack..It was the Tournament Director that suggested for the given time we had to play, the overall experience the players had and the number of players we are week after week. The TD suggested 1000 worth of chips and the blinds we are no used to.

If i want to be on the safe side, i would rather use the term modify, or adjust the course of the evening to quicken up the games...

plus, it might be more in the category of bending the rules...is it somewhat like buying someones points ? but that's a whole other issues now is it...cause that could make some people TIED for 2nd place right now...hun ?

So MY CENTS are, not one person could of predicted that 3 players would come flying out of the catacombs and start domination because of 500 extra chips.

Si (comme Wil m’a expliqué) les blinds sont du bon pourcentage au début d’un match pour le nombre de jetons que nous avons au départ, c’est du pareil au même d’après moi.

Indeed we are my friend…We might be able to cap the players and have the same constant members’ week after week…

Bil has told me "Jonhny" will be part of the 08 season...

My sister is out, she will come occasionally but doesn't feel she will be there all the time!
